This week’s New Music Friday consists of albums from Busta Rhymes, Phony Ppl, Fousheé, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Phony Ppl returns with Euphonyus. You might’ve forgotten about the elevated R&B track “Fckn Around” featuring Megan Thee Stallion. We’re going to be listening to Euphonyus all winter long.

Busta Rhymes finally drops The Fuse Is Lit featuring Big Daddy Kane, Conway The Machine, Skillibeng, and Capella Grey. DJ Drama links up with Dave East for Book Of David, a Gangsta Grillz compilation. 38 Spesh and Harry Fraud release the hard-hitting album Beyond Relief. Roddy Ricch unleashes his latest Feed Tha Streets III.

Fousheé reckons with a lot of feelings on softCORE, a pop-punk album.

Additional standouts this week are out from Key Glock (PRE5L) and BROCKHAMPTON (The Family).

Keep scrolling to tap in with the albums we’ll be listening to this weekend and beyond.

Roddy Ricch took some criticism after he released his sophomore project Live Life Fast – that appeared to be tough for the rapper who had a huge year in 2019 following his hit “The Box.” He returns and confidently raps on his new mixtape Feed Tha Streets III.

Standouts: “King Size,” “Heavier”

Rod Wave – Jupiters Diary: 7 Day Theory

Key Glock – PRE5L

For the one-year anniversary of Young Dolph’s death, his cousin Key Glock serves up PRE5L paying homage to the late rapper. The effort embodies the strengths of Key Glock who is a mainstay in Memphis rap.

Standouts: “Jigsaw,” “Thumbing”

BROCKHAMPTON – The Family

BROCKHAMPTON

The Family is nostalgic, but it’s also reflective of all years BROCKHAMPTON spent together as a group. There are soul moments and there are hip-hop moments but in total, the group’s last album is a compilation of their shared history and egos plus jealousy and money troubles. It’s an energetic romp spearheaded by Kevin Abstract.

Standouts: “RZA,” “37th”

Jaz Karis – DEAR JAZ

DEAR JAZ is Jaz Karis’ open letter to herself, throughout it she reckons with love, heartache, and more. The lead single “COME OUTSIDE” is bursting with stellar production.

Standouts: “DEAR JAZ,” “SIDE OF YOU”
