Ahead of performing at the Super Bowl LVII, Rihanna admitted on Good Morning America that she doesn’t know when her new music will release.
Even if Rihanna has new music in store, it doesn’t look like fans will hear it anytime soon. Ahead of her Super Bowl LVII halftime show performance in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday night (February 12), the 34-year-old artist sat down with Michael Strahan on Good Morning America to discuss her forthcoming music.

“[The fans want] more,” she began when asked by Strahan about the potential of a new project. ‘They are waiting. I’m excited to actually put new music out but I don’t have any updates for you on that yet.”
If @Rihanna needs another backup performer, @michaelstrahan is available!

The 9-time Grammy Award winner last released two songs on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, including lead single “Lift Me Up” and “Born Again,” the latter heard during the end credits of the Ryan Coogler-directed film. Written by Rihanna, Tems, Coogler and Ludwig Göransson, “Lift Me Up” received a Golden Globes nomination and Academy Awards nomination for Best Original Song.
Last Thursday (February 9), Rih held a press conference with Apple Music 1 about the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, also talking about wanting to explore “weird” music in the future.
“I’m feeling open to exploring, discovering, creating things that are new, things that are different, things that are off, weird,” Rih said. “Might not ever make sense to my fans … I want to have fun with music.”
During the 13-minute Super Bowl LVII performance, Rih unveiled a surprise baby bump, just nine months after giving birth to her first son with boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
