Ashanti & Nelly Perform Together Fueling Relationship Rumors
Ashanti and Nelly performed together in Las Vegas on Sunday at Tao Beach, further fueling rumors that the two are back together. Together, they attended the boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, the night beforehand. They were spotted holding hands as they exited the venue following Davis’ seventh-round knockout of Garcia.
As for their performance, a clip posted by Power 106 shows them doing their 2008 collaboration “Body On Me.” “Just making a baby right in front of my eyes,” one user joked on a post of the clip from The Shade Room. Another called on them to get married: “They just need to get married already! Lol we saw u guys at Usher’s show too.”

Other fans brought up Bow Wow’s recent comments on the former couple. “Bow Wow had a point, hopefully these two get married one day… they’re meant to be!!!.” The rapper had written in response to their fight night appearance: “Yo mo! I know we not seeing eye-to-eye either. But from little bro to big bro, STOP PLAYING AND MARRY THIS WOMAN BRO! You like 50 [laughing face emoji]. Sit your old ass down [laughing face emojis] this your queen.”
Nelly and Ashanti dated on and off for over a decade beginning in the 2000s. After their most serious breakup, Nelly dated Shantel Jackson for years. They eventually split in 2021. Nelly and Ashanti previously fueled rumors of a reconciliation at Power 98.3 and Power 96.1‘s “Under The Mistletoe” concert series in Glendale, Arizona. There, they performed “Body On Me” as well.
After that concert, Ashanti addressed the rumors during an interview with Andy Cohen. “I saw a lot of comments. I mean, my reaction was, ‘wow!’ It was a lot of comments and people wanting that. What I will say is we’re in a better place. We’re cool now. We had some conversations, so it’s cool” she insists.
