Usher To Celebrate 25th Anniversary Of ‘My Way’ With Special Re-Release

His breakout sophomore album, following his 1994 self-titled debut album that — despite being executive produced by Sean “Puffy” Combs (who was in the process of guiding his Bad Boy Records to mega-success at the same time) — was largely overlooked, Usher will be celebrating the silver anniversary of My Way with a special re-release.
Alongside a remastered version of the original project, there will also be three reimagined tracks — as well as instrumentals of said tracks — inspired by Usher’s incredible NPR Tiny Desk Concert in June 2022: “My Way,” “Nice & Slow,” and “You Make Me Wanna…” My Way will also be released on a 2LP 180g Silver Cloudy Vinyl, via Vinyl Me Please, in early 2023. The package features new album art that pays homage to the original cover from 1997, plus a lyric and photo booklet.
Usher will also release a mini-documentary, where he and executive producer Jermaine Dupri speak on the album’s inception and ultimate success. Both the re-release and mini-doc will arrive on Friday, Sept. 16.
