Last week video releases from JID, Doechii, Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, and more were on our radar.

There were quite a few videos that we were privy to bookmark last week. We’re sharing a few. Dreamville’s JID and Lute release “Ma Boy” was one that stood out.

Next, Doechii put her whole foot into “What It Is (Block Boy)” featuring Kodak Black. She also released a few other versions of the single.

Elsewhere, Jim Jones and Hitmaka dropped “Status Update” with Goldiie. Joyner Lucas shared “Devil’s Work 2.” And Metro Boomin released “Creepin (Remix)” featuring Diddy, The Weeknd, and 21 Savage.

Dreamville, JID, Lute – “Ma Boy”

Since this track is off the soundtrack to Creed III, it’s no shocker that it takes on a boxing theme. JID and Lute spar verbally throughout the video, but JID steals much of the attention from his labelmate.

Joyner Lucas – “Devil’s Work II”

Joyner Lucas uses his craft to emphasize large viral moments such as Chris Rock/Will Smith’s “The Slap,” and Breonna Taylor’s death in his latest single “Devil’s Work II.” The video drives his main points home as he’s sitting home pondering how these moments intersect with his mental state.

Jim Jones, Hitmaka – “Status Update”

Jim Jones and Hitmaka’s latest single “Status Update” off their collaborative album (Back In My Prime) got the visual treatment last week. Shula The Don directs the vacation-themed video that features Jim Jones island hopping.

Metro Boomin, Diddy, 21 Savage, The Weeknd – “Creepin’ (Remix)”

Director Christian Breslauer creates an immersive world that features Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, Diddy, The Weeknd and Coco Jones. The latter switches into multiple identities as she appears to gather information on each person she’s dating. There are some moments that lean on tropes seen in Ocean’s 8, but we’ll take it.

Doechii, Kodak Black – “What It Is (Block Boy)”

Doechii has been on our radar for a minute. The newest TDE signee flexes her singing skills on her new track “What It Is (Block Boy).” Omar Jones is behind the visual and he sets up Doechii and Kodak Black as separate gang affiliates who have developed strong feelings for one another.
