Rapper Kodak Black took to Instagram to call out a foul. He said his name was sullied by the disturbing accusations made against him. He stood accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward Latto.
Kodak Black noticed that when he was a topic of salacious gossip, the story was well-publicized across the media. But now that he has spoken out to say he is not that guy, there is not as much interest.
The “Super Gremlin” rapper took to Instagram to point out the hypocrisy of it all.
Kodak posted a slide with photos of himself, Lil Wayne, and Latto and wrote, “My thing is why tf this aint go viral like that other one when people was just automatically assuming me for no reason???? This lil internet shit krazy yall stay on a n***a d**k dawg be tryna make this perception of me for people to see on this shit when it come to me but f**k ya 🖕 MONEY GOOD 💰.”
Latto took to her Twitter to state how she feels about it and tweeted, “I been keeping it real cute don’t piss me off!!!”
This response was not well received by fans. Many felt Latto could have cleared Kodak’s name once she saw him being dragged on social media.
Twitter user @PiruMaraj replied to Latto’s tweet to ask a seemingly legitimate question: “Ok we believe you but u can’t put something like that out in the world and not expect these men to defend themselves. Even after u remained quiet about it, ppl were still dragging Kodak
In reaction, Latto blocked the Twitter user.
Many fans believed the culprit was Kodak Black until the host of Whoreible Decisions, Mandii B, said it was indeed Lil Wayne who made “sex-to-pay” advances.
Mandii said: “To be fair, Latto did not confirm that it was actually Kodak”.
“I will say, the tea I got… I don’t even know if I can share this tea but it’s old now. I actually heard it was Wayne, from someone that knows him,” she said.
After that was announced nothing about the accusation seemed to be acknowledged.
Meanwhile, Kodak made an interesting point: it was an attempt to assassinate his character. However, he agreed his past actions and statements did not help either.
Kodak Black was the frontrunner in the mystery of the male artist Latto referred to during an interview with Big Boy. Latto had accused a male rapper of refusing to clear their verse on her album because she did not return his DM.
Comments Kodak Black made on The Breakfast club led many to believe that he was the culprit. He said, “Look, my female artist, this is just how it is, right. … ’Cause I know n***as and sh*t like that, I gotta bust ’em. They ain’t gotta be my girlfriend, but it’s like, I’m gonna bust ’em, you heard?”
However, Kodak quickly debunked the rumors of being the rapper Latto was referring.
“That Mulatto Girl IS NOT Talkin Bout Me Homie. I See Y’all Steady Reachin Lol … Shawty Ain’t Even Say A N***a Name On Dat S**t Ion Know Why Tf Y’all Tryna Make A N***a Wear Dat Jacket I’m Too Fly Fa Dat S**t Homie.”
